Andy Smith – Head of Regulation and Employment, Adecco Group
Andy Smith is Head of Regulation and Employment for Adecco Group UK and Ireland.

He is responsible for co-ordinating the Adecco Group’s response to legislative developments, a key current focus being the UK’s implementation of the EU Agency Workers Directive.
Andy has been employed by the Adecco Group for 20 years and has held various positions within the Group’s Legal and HR functions. He is a member of the CIPD and has an LL.M (with distinction) in employment law from Middlesex University.
Mike Emmott – Adviser, Employee Relations, CIPD
Mike Emmott's specialist interests are employee relations and employment law. Recent projects include surveys of the HR function and employers' responses to flexible working. Central to Emmott's work is his interest in the way in which industrial and economic changes are affecting working practices.

Mike is also responsible for the CIPD's Employee Attitude survey and analysis of the 'psychological contract'. Other current work focuses on flexible working, HR involvement in the public sector and corporate social responsibility.
Before joining the Institute Mike had many years experience in the Employment Department. He was a member of the Employment Service Board and subsequently Deputy Director of the Office of Manpower Economics.
Neil Carberry – Head of Pensions, Employment and Health & Safety Policy
Neil Carberry is Head of Pensions, Employment and Health & Safety Policy at the CBI, leading the CBI's work on a diverse range of issues including Pay, Pensions, Health & Safety, Employment Status and Employment Law. He returned to the CBI's Employment Team in April 2007 after a period as Head of Public Procurement, a role in which he was responsible for CBI policy on the Priva

Neil initially joined the CBI as an employment and reward specialist after graduate study at the London School of Economics. Previously, he worked in the City as an HR Consultant.
